A Twist Of Fate
Finally stole some time to blog... Just felt that I have to say something about Sunday. I mean, it was my first time and it was just amazing! For the first time I felt I was so emersed in the story and the characters. The actors were nothing short of spectacular as well! And the singing, the singing was inspiring! Being able to incorporate body movements, props and harmony into a song to help tell a portion of the story and seeing all that unfold live before my very eyes; It was pure delight! =)
For those who haven't read between the lines, I'm talking about a play! Our very own local production, A Twist of Fate, ended its 2nd run on Sunday's 4pm Matinee. Kim and I were there to catch it. We met Mel and her family as well, its a small world afterall. =) What Kim doesn't know is the drama behind getting the tictkets.
I tried to buy the tickets at Bishan's SISTIC outlet but the preferably priced tickets were sold out. I was also late for dinner with my family and my prospective in-laws 'cos of the long queue to meet the lady selling the tickets. Well, more like my Sis' in-laws since he's her boyfriend. Did I mention that I rushed from youth service all the way to Bishan just before the SISTIC outlet closed?
Anyway, finally bought the tickets online after consulting my Sis that night. She recommended the Box Seats after searching the system a little. Thanks Sis, they were great! =) And you know what? Never select the "Let the system choose the best seats for me" option at the SISTIC ticket selection screen. 'Cos, would you believe it? It DOESN'T select the best seats for you! *Gasp* I mean, it was already kind of dubious when they suggested that a computer would decide what was best for me... Go figure.
We had a nice Peranakan buffet dinner after that. Though I felt the desserts were the highlight of the meal. Ok lah, the rest of the food was nice too, but knowing me, non-spicy, and I don't eat oysters. You get the picture. Having to go back to City Hall again after reaching Braddell MRT made me feel kind of dumb. Absent-minded me left Kim's ribbons at the restraunt and thus the return to the scene of the crime. Talk about a twist, but not one of fate... =P
here i am
Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(Psa 150:1-6)
this is me
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 MSG)
