 Me Of Little Faith

I've been mulling over my poor performance at school recently. I know I have been slacking off and not doing the best that I should. At that I was telling Uncle Paul how achieving a pass for 3/5 of my modules would make me most grateful to God when he asked me, "You mean my God can only do so little ah?" Wow, that got me thinking. Me of little faith...

I want to do well, make my God and parents proud, contribute to the well-being of my friends and hopefully change people's perceptions about Christians and Christianity... We're not out to CONVERT everyone. (Resistence is futile...) But rather, that decision is personal, that no one should be forced or compelled to.

We won't be able to love God fully if we're forced to do it. That's why He Himself doesn't force us to obey Him or to do His will. We have to choose to. Choosing to, makes loving God all the more sweeter and doing His work all the more fulfilling. Will you be willing to be open and not have any preconceptions, please?

I will try to do the best that I can from now till the exams are over. Dear God, please grant me strength, wisdom and perseverance. And most of all, my results are in Your hands. You give the increase and growth and it isn't just because of my efforts... Thank You. In Jesus' name, amen.

here i am
Praise the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.

Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(Psa 150:1-6)

this is me
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 MSG)
