 A Day In The Life Of Lychee

I woke up around 6am today to be able to rendezvous with the Lim family at their house at 6.45am to take them to the airport. (I was 10 minutes late. Bad Alvin!) Uncle Mark's car boot didn't have enough space so it was the Honda City to the rescue. 1 "army duffel bag", 1 large luggage and another medium sized luggage made up the cargo for the trip to T2. The occasion? Mango was flying off to Vancouver Island in Canada for a 5-month student exchange.

So after the usual check-in, breakfast at McDonald's, prayer and photo-taking session, Mango said her goodbyes to her entourage of friends/family who came to send her off. She gave me a final goodbye-hug and went through to the automated customs counter, tearing on her way there. "Be strong..." began the SMS I sent her before her plane took off.

My dear Mango, may the Lord be with you and grant you peace. May He guide you and keep you that you may follow in the warmth of His lamp upon your feet. Also, don't forget to enjoy yourself along the way! :)

Went home to sleep after driving Samantha and Shaun home and dropping Arun off along the way. Then woke up 3 hours later to head down to church for the prayer meeting. God is definitely calling us, Salemights, back to Him and to our first love. Tender hearts we are to receive from Him as we exchange hearts of stone for hearts of flesh and we are to allow Him to restore our child-like (not childish) faith.

Dinner was at Wendy's after that. 1 teh ping, 1 cheese prata, 1 egg prata and 1 plain prata will sustain me till the next morning.

here i am
Praise the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.

Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(Psa 150:1-6)

this is me
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 MSG)
