 Result Of My Results

When I first received my results through SMS, I paused before reading it to tell God, "If I pass I'll praise You, if I fail I'll still praise You..." It turned out that I did pass but not too well. At first glance, my CAP (Cumulative Average Point) fell from 2.74 (which is already quite lousy) to 2.71. Upon further calculation, I found that it would take a miracle for me to achieve even 3rd Class Honours, literally.

It's like this; after exercising my S/U (Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory) option for 2 modules this semester, and if I scored an "A" for all 5 modules next semester I'd still be 0.06 away from the minimum CAP requirement of 3.20 for 3rd Class Honours. I'd have to somehow change 1 of my C+ grades to a B- and somehow exercise my S/U option for a past module to make my CAP exactly, on the dot, 3.20.

If it is any consolation, after exercising my S/U option for the 2 modules, my CAP increased by 0.01 to 2.75.

Dear Lord, I thank You that I didn't fail any modules and that I'll still be able to graduate with a degree. Lord, I need no less than a miracle to achieve a degree with honours but in my heart of hearts I know that to trust You is a greater achievement than my paper qualifications. I place my anxieties and stress into Your loving hands for I know that my future is safe in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

here i am
Praise the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.

Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(Psa 150:1-6)

this is me
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 MSG)
