Dream A Little Dream
I had a very vivid dream last night.
I dreamt I was playing a First Person Shooter (FPS) computer game much like Counterstrike, Battlefield, Modern Warfare and the like. In the midst of the game, I reached out to pick up a new weapon on a table only to realise that I had used my real hands to pick it up. It felt as though I was really in the game instead of just playing it through the computer!
In the following scene, I was leaving the place I where I had played the computer game which was apparently a cyber cafe of sorts. I remembered feeling very tired as though I had stayed up the whole night playing the game. At that moment I had the distinct feeling that I was in Malaysia. I began thinking of how I was going to get back to Singapore, if I had enough money.
I took a walk around the shopping centre where the cyber cafe was located and walked toward McDonald's (even in my dreams I dream of McDonald's!). I continued to walk pass McDonald's like my mind wasn't made up but eventually made my way back there. At McDonald's I met Rena and Ben! I sat down and had breakfast with them.
Then somehow I was in my (Mom's) car driving toward Singapore when bandits came out from no where trying to careen my car off the road and rob me/steal my car/add-in-your-own-horrible-misdemeanor. All the while I was looking for signs that it was a dream and looked around the car. But everything resembled my Mom's real car and there was no clue that it was a dream! -_-"
So there's me, convinced that this dream was real as implausible as it may seem, driving to escape from these would-be thieves. All of a sudden, Rena comes into the picture and suggests a plan to deceive the criminals into thinking that the car had overheated and was unable to go on.
So the plan was carried out. The car came to a complete stop and just as the bandits were about to reach the car...
My alarm clock rang. Great. I hate it when there's no ending. In short, it was a weird dream.
here i am
Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(Psa 150:1-6)
this is me
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20 MSG)
